I was referred to Mr. Butler by a friend, and am I glad I was. This was no open and shut case, there was an overwhelming amount of evidence. We took the case to trial and Mr. Butlers experience spoke for itself and I was found not guilty. I’m not one to usually write reviews, but if you are thinking of going with any other DWI attorney in Houston, you are making a mistake. Jim worked hard on my case for 8 months and it finally got dismissed! Not only was he on top of my case, he communicated his thought process to me at all steps so I always knew his plan and where the case was heading. I had a very stressful 8 months, but I trusted Jim to fight for me because I could tell he cared personally about me and my case. I don’t do public posts much, but for The Butler Law Firm I will. This firm is second to none. Jim and his staff were an absolute pleasure to work with. No words can explain how grateful I am to know Jim Butler. He has been with me through some trying times. I had a few DWI’S over 20 years ago and I received another one at 50 years old. I was in the middle of moving back to Michigan from Texas because my parents needed me and i needed to be with them also, when it happened. If it was not for Jim Butler i would have been in the Texas prison system till I was 60 years old for speeding 10 mph over the speed limit on my motorcycle. Jim Butler had my DWI felony dropped to a misdemeanor DWI charge and my license restored! Jim Butler seriously is the best attorney in the world! Anyone with their first DWI I’m sure was as terrified as me as I felt hopeless and would lose everything with many hardships ahead of me. I went to one attorney before Jim and basically left feeling like my life was over and I would lose everything I’ve worked so hard for (this would put my career on the line.) God definitely was looking out for me when I called Jim that evening and he said come to my office and it was late with no rush during our initial meeting. Jim didn’t focus so much on the details of my case in our meeting but wanted to know me as a person. He told me everything would be okay, and I left his office believing this and trusted his words. He made the entire process so easy for me by going to my multiple court cases for a year without needing my presence, so I didn’t have to take off work. 5 stars is not enough! I would give them a billion of stars if I could. I first met Jim a few days after my DWI and I was a mess emotionally but Jim was so helpful and kind. He provided with words of encouragement and reminded me that I would be able to look back one day and all this would be a bad memory . He answered all my questions time after time. Carmen was also so helpful every time I had a question about my case. They handled my case on and off court and I never had to miss a day of work.
